Nifty below 4K, realty cracks

Markets are trading weak in the early deals of Tuesday with the Sensex losing 385 points to 13,140 levels. The broader markets index Nifty also sheds 2.9 per cent to 3915.
Selling is evident in realty, banking, capital goods, oil & gas and metal counters by over 3.1 per cent each.
“We have seen downswing in the markets and it is not attractive to go short. The investors should bet on selective sectors and stocks. Capital goods counters are attractive at these levels. Even the PSU banks look buoyant and they can surge from here,” said Sudhanshu Pandey, Technical Analyst, LKP Shares.
Among the BSE-30 scrips, Jaiprakash Associates sheds 5.9 per cent to Rs 150 levels. Other major losers include Reliance Infrastructure, which is down 5.5 per cent to Rs 736. State Bank of India also sheds 5.3 per cent to Rs 1109.
Other Asian markets are also trading weak on Tuesday. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng, Japan’s Nikkei and South Korea’s Kospi are in red turf by over 2.4 per cent each.
Realty weak
BSE realty index, losing 206 points or 4.4 per cent, is the biggest loser among the sectoral indices. Akruti City, Unitech and Housing Development & Infra are the major losers of the pack
